Dinosaur Landforms

Introduction
The teacher will begin by asking questions like, "Do you know what a mountain is?" or "What is a river?" The teacher will explain the several common landforms on Earth, such as islands, rivers, lakes, plains, mountains, valleys, peninsulas, and landforms, after some discussion with the students. Students will learn geography in this lesson by learning about different landforms in a creative way, using a dinosaur diagram to help them remember.
Task
The Landform Dinosaur template will be distributed to students. Students will also have access to a word bank containing vocabulary items related to landforms. Students will be requested to place the vocabulary word in the correct location on the dinosaur that looks/describes the landform. Students can also color the dinosaur template however they choose. Following that, students will write an online newsletter summarizing what they learned that day in order to keep parents up to date on what their children are doing in class and also serve as an informal assessment.
Process:

Teacher asks questions such as “Do you know what a mountain is?”

Students will have discussions.

The teacher will describe vocabulary words and show how they appear and are used in the Dinosaur Template.

Students will receive a Dinosaur Landform Template as well as a word bank. They will pace the correct labels in the correct part of the dinosaur as instructed by the teacher.

Students will then decorate as they please.

Students will prepare an online newsletter using Microsoft Word or Crello to describe what they learnt in class and will distribute it to their parents to keep them updated on what they are doing in class.

Conclusion
Students understand geography vocabulary words and the definition of landforms with this practice. Students will utilize a visual technique to learn the geographical landforms by utilizing a dinosaur image to help them go back to the terminology. Furthermore, children will gain creative, organization, and technology skills, as well as the opportunity to share what they have learned with their parents.
